I am sure that you have noticed that the local shows in your home town are on the rise. It happens every summer and this can result in you not knowing what show to choose. Do you go with a favorite with a chance of seeing someone new or do you try out a new genre to see what may be your new favorite? Personally, I like to mix up the genres I see every weekend. Sometimes, I go for the metal, then the next weekend I may see ska/punk bands, and then I may see what has been dubbed as chick rock by some people. I enjoy a little bit of everything when it comes to music. I hope that the rest of the world feels the same way, but that is not always the case. Most people will enjoy one type of music and stick to it. I implore you to open your senses to all types of music; you never know what is out there. You just may find something new.
